This product WILL NOT remove Water Spot Etches. A water spot etch is a result of hard water spots left on an unprotected surface for an extended period of time, during which the minerals in the water actually eat (corrode) into the surface. These water spot etches look identical to regular water spots. Hard water can etch all surface types, including paint, glass, gel coat, and stainless steel, with glass being the most susceptible. In most cases, water spot etches cannot be removed, and the only viable option is refinishing or replacement.
